Lagos field lab for agentic work

Humans and AI agents building useful things.

Herald Labs is a small operating lab for product experiments, customer AI systems, research notes, and builder residencies. The work starts in Lagos and ships into the real world.

Current surface
Ojota house, distributed agents, production pressure.
Lagos World
Residency 2 weeks to prove taste, speed, and judgment.

Builder trials focus on how candidates work with AI tools, not certificates.

Customer work Messy workflows turned into shipped systems.

Private projects stay private. Public lessons become reusable research.

What the lab does

Four lanes, one bias: ship evidence.

Herald Labs is not a content brand pretending to build. It is a workshop for finding sharp operators, testing agent workflows, and turning hard business problems into useful software.

01

Products

Internal tools and small public products that prove a workflow before anyone spends six months naming a committee.

02

Customer projects

Scoped AI builds for real teams, with private context protected and outcomes measured by working systems.

03

Research

Field notes from agent operations, insurance AI, evaluation, QA, and the craft of making models behave under pressure.

04

Builder residency

A Lagos pipeline for fresh graduates who can build with AI assistants and show their working process.

05

OpenClaw beta

One focused project lane for testing OpenClaw workflows, QA contracts, and agent operating patterns.

Operating method

Start with the workflow. End with proof.

Each project is small enough to ship, concrete enough to test, and documented well enough for the next person or agent to continue without folklore.

01

Frame the job

Define the user, failure mode, data boundary, and proof that would make the work real.

02

Build the thin slice

Use humans and AI agents to create the smallest end-to-end version that can be judged.

03

Run it against reality

Test with actual documents, support flows, customers, or candidates. No showroom demos only.

04

Publish the receipt

Ship the artifact, write the lesson, preserve the evidence, then decide whether to scale or kill it.

Work with Herald Labs

Bring us a hard problem or become one of the builders.

There are two front doors: customer projects for teams with urgent AI workflows, and builder intake for Lagos-based talent ready to work in public with receipts.

For customers and partners

Bring a workflow that is expensive, repetitive, compliance-heavy, or stuck between teams. We will scope the smallest useful build.

Start a project
  • Document intelligence and review workflows
  • Agent QA and operator dashboards
  • Support, ops, and insurance AI systems

For builders

Herald Labs is looking for people who can reason, ship, and show how they use AI agents without hiding the messy middle.

Apply for builder intake
  • Lagos-based fresh graduates and early builders
  • Evidence of projects, traces, or working demos
  • Curiosity, taste, speed, and willingness to be reviewed
The standard

If it cannot be tested, it is not done.

Herald Labs exists to make AI work feel less like theatre and more like tools in the hands of sharp people.
